Village starting

I've been playing and I decided to start a village this time around are there any tips or certain things to aim for before starting. It would help a lot if you would answer

Make sure you pick a good location. A good location really depends on what you want to achieve. But having flat ground will save a lot of time. Having a source of stone and water close by will save time.
Get a claim up and add all of your friends/soontobe villagers to it. Best do this on an alt, that you only login to, to grow the claim.
Get producing leather, boneglue and rope. As you need to get a pali up ASAP.
Plan out locations for your farm, housing and production areas. You are best keeping industries that rely on each other close together, this will save on running.
Don’t build everything really close. You will need plenty of space to run about. Just make sure it’s not too far appart.

to expand you need looots of cloth for banners

or simply more village claims but that seems tedious with alts and not being able to join multiple villages
or private claims but less tedious imo
