if you were to try and spawn a troll how big of an area should you start with to mine out speaking in stone columns? like 50x50 or more?

Personally would like to see some method of finding trolls without having to just stumble upon them. Like "Hey hearthling, a foul stench is coming from the rock around here" but more Jorbtistic, and it translates to a troll is within 100 tiles or something.
