Republican National Convention, Shitstorm Incoming

So the R.N.C Is going to be in Cleveland, Ohio this year, for those of you who don't know, Cleveland is poverty stricken and full of horrible horrible problems with the police force and violent crimes.
It's a pretty shitty place ever since industry left the area, and Lebron James. Overall, the climate currently over there are peaceful riots against the police on a regular basis because of the disconnect between the community and the police force, now that this political shit is coming to town, I fear all the crazy rioters are going to end up stirring up a lot of shit.

Another thing to note, Ohio is an Open Carry state, which means it's civilians are allowed to carry firearms in the open in public, as long as you have a permit for it. The reason I say this that some news outlets have been saying "that some rioters will be carrying weapons during the scheduled riots". Currently there are already rioters gathering up and getting ready for their whine fest, and Police are flocking into town en-mass to keep the peace.

With the latest bit of racial violence, attacking of police officers, and the supposed targeting of African Americans BY police officers, and a large amount of people in Cleveland being black people in poor living conditions, i'm a bit worried about how this could turn into a giant gunfight, if some retard pulls out his Glock and decides to shoot a cop.


Live in Ohio, probably gonna go to Cleveland to watch this Hell on Earth scenario play out.

Not that it's that much rulebreaking, but, meh... Seems kinda local, I, for one, don't have a slightest idea why would that be a "shitstorm" on some convention. I would be mildly interested if you elaborated a little, maybe, but just throwing some "discus" like majority of this forum would know what's that all about, while in fact that would be just a few people, that does seem blog-ish.

Oh. I'm gonna be serious here. Many, many years ago my 9th grade (highschool) law teacher (he's been working as a militioner/policeman for over 30 years, since 1950s; then he's been teaching law as college professor, he was invited to my school to teach as a personal favor to school's principal - so, yeah, that gazillion-year old cynical geezer knew what's what) - he told us: the worst thing you can encounter in your peaceful civilian life in your peaceful civilian city is a rioting mob, and whatever your social, political or other views are, deciding to join it or even hang around to see how it goes is a very, very stupid and dangerous idea. The mob is volatile and erratic, and the line between peaceful protest and chaotic riot is thin, all it takes is a single spark.

Now, if you truly believe in your own description in the situation, you might want to reconsider your desicion to go there. You won't be the only one idle fun-seeker here, and some people sometimes decide to push things a little, making their own "fun"; that increases a possibility of aforementioned shitstorm tenfold. If you still decide to go, keep a very good distance from both law enforcement guarding the area and crowded areas; don't wear flashy clothes, flags, anything that can be seen as a symbol of your allegiance to anything: if hell breaks loose, just having a star on your back or US flag on your hat can get you attacked. In any way, tell us later how it pans out, if you decide to go and return safely.

I only really planned on going to watch the riots from the window of a hotel or possible 2-3 blocks down, I know something bad will happen (Or at least im feeling like it will) so i'm just wanting to be there so I can watch the insanity first hand. I have no intention of getting "involved", I merely want to see the situation without the media's spin on the whole situation.

Personal experience always trumps the media's interpretation on it.
