Dramatic cellphone video shows the anguished moments after a 7-year-old girl was killed in a freak accident at a Moroccan zoo when an elephant lobbed a rock aiming to kill, striking her on the head.

Witnesses said that the animal suddenly picked up big stone in its trunk and took aim before shooting it, hitting the girl and knocking her unconscious.

Footage shows the child lying on the ground, bleeding from her head as a pack of people came to pick up the body and port back.

Truth be told, elephants are very smart animals and trunks are very versatile tools. The only thing that really impedes them is that trunks are not as dexterous as fingers are.

As for your question, that is up for debate. I myself do not know elephants' in intelligence in comparison to humans but recalling one incident where an elephant had hoisted several people onto its back when a flood was going to break out, I think there is a chance that we can co-exist.

I remember read story of elephant gets shot by poacher. It will go to ranger station and peek into building to get ranger attention. Then they do medicine to this elephant. But if elephant is smart enough to do difficult task, I think humans will enslaving them for labors. It is inevitable for conflict to come from this one.
