i accidentally killed a friend i got to join today

so, after much nagging i fianlly got a friend to try this game with me, we made new character, made wilderness post and i started explaining the basic. not long after, we split for a bit, and he got chased down by a boar, but got better, anyway about an hour after, as he and the other dude we were playing with wanted to try fishing, i suggested to go to a nearby swamp to get bait. only after i took the first leech hit i remembered my friend was beat by a boar not long ago, and almost in slowmotion i tried to warn him to take them out, but he didnt know how, as he gets knocked out, the leeches start burning and burning, so after he got back up, another leech hit got him almost instantly and that, along the concusion damage killed him, and since he wasnt even 8 hours old he couldn't inherit his character and had to made a new wilderness beacon

The ancestor is still there to inherit, you just can't until the first 8 hours after you spawn are up and that's including after it dies.

Back in w8 something like this happened.

1. Guy from loose group runs all the way from spawn zone to our base located at the border of the world.
2. I greet him and point him to container with dreams.
3. He insists that he needs discovery of dream to build hearthfire.
4. While wating Dreamcather to refill, we kill some time by raiding Ant Hill.
5. Ants murder him in cold blood.
