The game Worlds and the devs thought about it.

I have read from couple of comments that the developers want a permanent world, but they keep making new ones. So I am asking devs do they want to refresh the worlds every now or then or make a permanent world, which would go on forever? Like World ∞ .

If it is true, that devs want a forever lasting world, you guys could give suggestion of how it could be done.
For example trees drop seeds and wind blows them away and therefore new trees form, or all player abandoned structure and pavements decay and go back to as the way it was.

Or better ideas and examples you guys have in mind and as well the devs Jorb and Loftar.

not trying to be rude but we do have a section for this-

viewforum.php?f=48

and we've also had this same idea posted every world every month. it's just not a hardcore priority with the current numbers of players and/or really adds to the current meta of game play.

new trees form

it's somewhere in the pipes- but comes with trees not spawning to close to player settlements and trees growing in their correct biome- with trees not getting to dense- top it with maybe the hardest part. trees repop would have to be put on some kind of system that would not load all the tiles in the world over and over~ what would lag us likely.

all player abandoned structure and pavements decay

I think they have some kind of special plan for this. but jorb has never shared his idea.

Wouldn't have to. Just run it like decay is ran now--only when the tile is loaded for some reason. Would be nice if there was some sort of time stamp on a tile so that if the tile hasn't been loaded in 3 months, it'd get the equivalent of 3 months decay to structures and such. As such, in some areas, things last for months, and in others, they last for only a few weeks.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

thought decay was only choosen randomly with active tiles.
but the problem would end up active area for dense forest and none active would still have start of world forest.
It might work better with a system that randomly chooses 50 tiles a day
checks to see the biome and how many trees are in it.
then places a sapling or 2 in it.
