I sent him some shit i found at google but he was saying that they detect his phone as a multimedia device and not a phone ( hes not really that good at computers and i dont know shit about phones because i dont use them)

Well, if he deleted them, I would say they would be gone permanently unless he has them backed up.
Just wondering, what caused him to lose these pictures?

yeah..i guess they are lost, cause it has a flash drive, not an hard drive....i don't think there is a way to recover them....but i'm not sure at all, i don't use phones, too...
Maybe if you write here which phone is, someone could help you...i guess it depends on the phone...
P.S. Btw even recover on PC not always works.....dependent on the file....i don't know which format phones use...i guess jpg or png maybe? idk

I was in a similar situation once and was able to restore some files on my phone through some app I found on the Play Store. Have your friend search for stuff like "file recovery" in whatever app store he uses and try out some apps.

Deleting stuff only marks them as deleted. They arent really "deleted" before they are written over by some other file.
Doesnt matter if its hard disk or flash. If you delete something very important you should shut down the device ASAP and not use it at all in order to avoid files being written over. Installing some weird shit and googling for instructions is worst thing you can do. (If you do it by using the device you want to recover) If its something really important such as state secrets you should just leave it to professionals.

Unless the flash is inside an SSD and the filesystem has trim active on delete operations (then you're out of luck since the blocks which held the file will be read as zeros).
