We're pretty rare in the gaming community tbh. At least... In any game without locally hosted servers. There's probably enough around to get a small town going but international villages have an advantage in that someone is always online to keep an eye on things. Farming is easier in off-peak though.

It has a lot more to do with latency than anything else. The Australian gaming community seems to gravitate toward locally hosted games because losing from high latency in every fight gets frustrating.

Next up is our low population. There just aren't many of us at all.

As for censorship... Games aren't censored yet (unless you take into account our arguably excessive ratings system) but I wouldn't be surprised if it's in the pipeline. Pretty sure some sly internet censorship legislation in the USA made its way over here as well. Soon we will all have Chinese internets. Three cheers for progress.

The media isn't censored, it's just all owned by a single asshat (mild exaggeration but frighteningly close to the truth) who has twisted it into his own personal propaganda machine.

Jalpha m8, you're cool by me but you're missing a point, alot of us Aussies love to spew profanity at each other as well this generally makes these moderators who love their "safe space" annoyed at us.
