How to get back into the game

I have been gone for months, and everything I had was destroyed and looted. I wanted to strike out into the wilderness all over again, but the whole world feels so crowded now with hearthfires everywhere. Will there ever be a world expansion? If not, where are the most relatively secluded areas?

I would like to see hearthfires decaying too, perhaps changing their color when starting to decay...after some time everything should come back to wilderness state, biome over grass, spreading trees, rotten woods etc...in this way the world could be always interesting to explore, without the feeling that a lot of people was there before and the world could even last longer.
Btw there are still a lot of virgins lands out there.

When I came back, I just picked a direction and settles when I was in the new band in the world. Away from as many people as I could be.

But yes I be fine with HFs starting to decay after like 3-4 months of people not logging in.

Thanks for the fast replies everyone. I agree with your sentiments exactly. Also, I just found out that nobody bothered to knock down my old cave claim, but the gate is permanently down and I don't have a key. Will I have to destroy it myself and rebuild it if I want to keep it?

Theres literally unpopulated wilderness everywhere on map expasnion area.
Last week I found jotun heimen mussel full of pearls.
Which is quite rare, because regen takes like ½ year.

How to get back into the game:

1. Reinstall.

2. Play the game.
