The Songs of Ninth World - Skald Tale

Postby Karwelas » Sat Dec 24, 2016 1:42 am

Ages ago, man walked the earth
Claiming he is, the god among bards
His fame was rising, until one day
He challenged the god of skalds

Taliesin

They sang for days, they sang for weeks
The sun rises and the moon falls
The earth turns and moves the stars

Finally an year passes through as voices stops
God walks to mortal man and looks into his eyes
Says - "We are equal as far as I see"
"But if you want to defeat me"
"You shall see the world"

And with his words, the mortal man wyrd
Changed forever was

Wander the world, see all the wonders
Taste the water, breath the air
Break the earth and see the fire
Met the people and fight with them
Write a song about it all
Victory is yours - shall you do that

But you shall live and feel the pain
Never to fall and never to rest
Your bones bond, flesh together anew
Sing the Song
Or live forever!

This is a story of the Skald, a bit of my wenture into something between game story, roleplaying and my own lore. Well, why not give it a try? First chapter soon, but I lost my screens after format so I will reduce it to few sentences...

Chapter 0
The Past and The Wyrd

It happened again. I was burned into the ninth world. Nineth since start my curse. While I write it, some time already passed since I write this. I traveled around the large part of the world with my companion, Robert. We saw the Wulf's Retreat - legendary place of Hermitage - hidden in the mountains. The Loki Hideout, town of dwarves and full of smithed and furnances, we passed through the forgotten towns and reclaimed one of those for ourselves - Skald Rest.

But since that time a lot of time passed. Robert had to come back to his old life and I traveled alone once more. I saw Sand Cat Tavern, passed through the terrain of the AD warriors and hidden in the cave next to another hermit. But my curse cannot be fulfilled until I see the world... This or next.

And now, in the Shire, I found my new home among people who don't think like most of hearthlings. We are building something new in the world.
