Remember the good old times when you had IRC build in the modded client? Remember when you could quickly find a village to join? Remember the times when you could call each other a faggot and mods didn't care? Well now you have a chance to do it again on Discord server.

Discord is a chat with text and voice channels, on which you can, socialize with others, trade, and flame other fractions. It runs in browser and a downloadable client.

Biggest downside of things like Skype and TeamSpeak is that anyone can grab your IP, Discord is safe, the only thing people can see is your avatar, nickname and messages.

I've set up this server because it's hard to know each other in haven, especially if anybody can kill you. I do believe it's a good place to casually hang out and have a cup of Havens tea. I don't really see forum as a place where I can just write a random shitposting thread without fear of getting banned or any other form of anxiety, and I do believe others feel the same. It's also a good place to centralize community interactions besides the game. There is also rank system that allows showing which fraction are you in, or what your character profession is. I am open to adding new ranks.

I'm not opposed to discord just cause the voice chat built in is a nice step up over irc, but yeah... haven irc still exists mate. It's just not in game. Though the ability to have multiple threads of conversation in discord is also nice cause I've found the irc can get a bit drowned out on really busy hours... at least it was years ago.

Most of Discord talk still happens on chat, as nobody is willing to talk on mic ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And I see Discord as much better alternative, you can post images, files, and soon you will be able to share screen and video.
