What do you think about? Should we spam W10 start on Salem forum? Somewhere else? Maybe Reddit?

MagicManICT wrote:Dunno... seems like it had a section on mmorpg.com at one point, but i don't check the site much anymore. (Still there, almost no threads, and no votes, either.) Maybe everyone go there, make an account, and hype it up? http://www.mmorpg.com/haven-and-hearth

I'm leery about getting too many newbs in at once at this stage of the game, at least with the supposed number of griefer gankers we have running around (don't know if they really exist, or if it's just insults being thrown by different factions).

mmmm...at least the world is alive at the start, and it's what we need....better being murdered and willing revenge than dying for boredom cause they cannot meet anyone, for a noob in my opinion. They need to see the world is alive.
We have a week, this will be World 10, 2 digits... so we need something special. We need this world being huge and the most populated ever, no many other chance.
So, i suggest we all, as community are going to write a nice post, with links, pictures and whatever....or even multiple of them then we can vote to decide what is the best.
Then we will spam it everywhere each of us would like, freely....nothing to do with devs, only a community thing.
We, as community, are also responsible of the success of this game, and if it hasn't it's also our fault.... and we all know it deserve more.
So instead of writing bullshit all day long about bots,exploit,etc...lets put togethere some nice pictures, usefull links, etc... and write down a nice review/introduction to the game....my english is not that good but i will do my best.
Anyone want to help is welcome. Spread the Wor(l)d, 10 :D

P.S. Obviously the start of a new world is an excuse to spam it everywhere....will not have the same effect when world is already going.

Any advertisement should link to at least some kind of tutorial and warn that getting raided and/or killed is possible.
Haven and Hearth Wiki (Maintained by volunteers - test/verify when practical. Forum thread

Basic Claim Safety (And what you’re doing wrong
TL:;DR: Build a Palisade with only Visitor gates.)

Combat Guide (Overview, PVE, PVP) (Includes how to escape/minimize risk of getting killed.)

Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

If you're going to advertise to get a lot of new players, do it a few months into the world; that way there are established villages and trade centres, fewer griefers and enough time and space for new players to learn about the game with getting murdered every time they leave their base. Seriously, I can't imagine a worse idea than inviting a bunch of noobs to join at the start of the world.

This.

A new world is at it's most violent ... barring the end of the world ... it's really not a good time for new players in the respect that they will repeatedly have their bark stolen from their wicker baskets and then quit ... :P

Stop this pessimism now! :P be constructive!...and maybe when the world will start if you (all) can avoid to run to hide yourself behind a rock(in a cave)it will be a good thing also, but i guess this is hard to accomplish.

Have you ever been on this forum at the start of a new world, lol.

It won't help the game, and I do know that is what you ultimately want and so do I, but all those players then go on to tell the world how awful Haven is, how bad the community is and that we are all a bunch of griefers ... :)
