Animals re-aggro

Postby Divicid » Thu Jan 12, 2017 6:43 am

So before the patch i would hunt animals by blocking them in with boats, and firing one-two arrows. That would usually make them flee.
Then i would simply just punch them to death, as they could not flee. It would on the other hand seem that the animals re-aggro again, is this intended?

In all honesty, i do not mind it. Seems abit more challenging to hunt them now, or well....cost abit more arrows, as they still don't break boats.
Just didnt see it in the patch notes, so was wondering if it's intended, or maybe a bug? Good bug though :D
You should make them break boats also, as hunting down 6 boars/deers/foxes within 20 minutes is abit too easy.

This happened to me on land too.
I hope on land I won't need to block animals or use a horse anymore.

Noticed this earlier, apparently it's from the update, but not in the patch notes anywhere. My advice is wherever possible, use your boat to drag the animal onto a 4thspeed terrain so when you chase and it reaggros, you can haul ass back to your boat if you can't stand your ground yet.

Its not cool. Its make game boring i think. Shooting cow with 35 arrow before it die is pain in the ass.

If you need 35 arrows to kill a cow, maybe you shouldn't really be able to kill a cow?
You can't really complain when silly cheese tactics hunting doesn't work the way you'd like it to.

Then kill it with your fists. That's a lot less boring.

You forgot to mention that when you beat up their asses they run faster.

i wonder if this affects the taming process?
i ended up killing an animal i was taming after the patch (was the last of 4 animals ive started taming.. but the only one that got beat up after the patch)

edit: 2nd animal killed while taming.. was in peace mode
aggro changes bugged taming?

Maybe do less damage by letting it close it's openings (or do a different attack)?
