Quest rewards

Postby Scilly_guy » Fri Jan 13, 2017 10:12 am

Has anyone else noticed if the quests they received high LP for were ones they finished very quickly, like light a fire? It seems to me that I only get LP if I do the querst straight away, ones that I don't have time to do RIGHT then, but instead come back to other day seem to give xp. This might explain why some people only get low amounts of xp.

Personally I think that yes, time should factor in but there should also be something that says this quest is quite easy reward is capped to 1500lp.

I am pretty sure it's not like that. Rewards are just random.

Ah ok, my evidence pool is pretty small, I have just noticed that I only got decent amounts of lp for quests I completed straight away and (about 10 quests) and always got xp for quests which I didn't do on the day I was given them, a much lower amount of xp than I got when i completed the quest ASAP. I asked someone who had recently got massive amounts of lp from a quest and they said they had done it there and then.

One of the purposes of this thread was to see what other people found.

Biggest rewards I've got were from delayed quests. But I think you have a point about there probably should be some dependency between the effort spent and the reward. Just random is a bit too random sometimes...

This. Biggest reward I've gotten so far was from a quest that took a couple minutes to finish.

There's some charm to the whole randomness element.

A perfect example

I would like the quests to feel less like "running random errands for trees and boulders (and get arbitrary rewards)" and more like "taking part in the obscure lore of the land" perhaps with a few storyline quests whatever that might even be in H&H. I think questing would feel a lot better if we manage to change questing into that somehow...

I might come up with suggestions later when ive slept about this.

I'm pretty sure he's wrong and they are totally random but idk

When I figure out where I'm going to settle down at, I'm going to throw the brain at the problem and see if I can break the system. My spawn location isn't bad, but...
