Touching movie about transsexual man - is transexualism bad?

Postby Teleskop » Mon Jan 30, 2017 8:56 pm

So i wanted to watch a movie while stoned ,and i chosen one sounding interesting - "Mów mi Marianna" (call me marianna) but it turned out to be deeply touching movie, about story of a man - a man was a loving father and a husband ( you can see actual footage from their life when they were a happy family ) but he feels a woman and becomes a transsexual and everyone leaves him, later on he gets an operation and hes so happy saying "mam cipke!" which means "i have a pussy" - you can see
how happy he was to finally be a woman. and then two months later he gets a stroke, leaving him partially paralyzed , unable to talk etc... I shed manly tears when he met his wife again and he was eating a cake she made and he said "oh,kiwi"

THIS MOVIE WAS SO TOUCHING

YOU CAN SEE A MAN JUST FOLLOWING WHO HE WANTS TO BE - HE WANTS TO BE A WOMAN

NOT ALL TRANSSEXUALS ARE WORTHLESS PERVERTS,THOSE ARE JUST PEOPLE THAT DONT FEEL RIGHT IN THEIR BODIES,IMAGINE YOUR BRAIN BEING PUT IN A BODY OF OPPOSITE GENDER - THATS HOW THEY FEEL IN THEIR OWN BODIES

Of course transsexualism is bad. I don't see any upside to desperately wanting to be the opposite gender of what you are. It certainly caused the fellow in the OP a lot of grief.

w....w-....w...www----what?

Nobody implied there's "upside" in desperately wanting to be the opposite sex. However, fact is some people do want to be the opposite sex. Them being transsexuals would therefore make them happy, and hurt nobody else - which is a net gain in happiness in the world. So it could be argued that, as long as there are people who want to be the opposite sex, transsexualism as a thing is positive and good.

If it making them happy, why transsexuals have some highest suicide rate?

There's really many factors coming in to play when it comes to suicide rates so I wouldn't consider that an actual argument, but it's most likely because society is currently not very accepting of them?
