Steam in general

I went on the Xsyon steam page and picked up these reviews. H&H is gonna have a tough time. Especially when the early game is the hardest part. My last few experiences with early game being solo is pop some curios and wait 2 days to do anything. When new steam players join the recent change to rage is gonna bring a lot of tears and drama. Honestly I'm not sure how far out the steam release for H&H is but the early game needs better guidance for the ignorant and the endgame needs more content other than grinding stats. The game has VERY good progression in terms of stats. But hardly any gear progression or building progression at the endgame. We could have a dream realm where we can adventure in to progress our hearth magic. We could have a road to Valhalla linked to a world monument where only the "strongest" can enter and fight to the prize or die trying. We could go scuba diving and discover underwater friends and new discoveries. Make another world monument linking the above ground to a very deep cavern level with hard mobs and artifacts we can find. I want this game to succeed. And Loftar needs a hairstyle makeover unless he goes for the mad scientist look.

Who said that HnH would ever be going to steam?
There is absolutely no reason to go for steam except promotion for the product. But majority of players on steam are not.. They probably dont like HnH type of games.
I think if devs want to promote/advertise their game there are better options. If I'm right, valve takes noticeable cut of profits made. Not that much compared to other platforms, but overall it wouldnt be worth it.

I would also like to add that steam is not a platform for MMO games really.
And haven is MMO game.

H&H attracts the same sort of audience games like EVE would, I think H&H would do reasonably well if on the Steam market. But of course there will be a lot of impatient (not in a bad way) people that just wouldn't want to put the hours into the game or are just simply not enjoying it.

And why do you think so?
Steam community is opposite of HnH community.

In the last stream they said steam is an option they're considering.

Except for the fact that most Haven players have steam as well. I think you'll find that Steam isn't a small tight-knit community of gamers with similar interests.

Steam is one huge community, like xbox live or PSN. When a game has a wonderful community behind it and the ease of access that steam provides (more so "hey this game exists") it will allow for people who would otherwise never find H&H, find it. There the community would grow and allow for people to find that niche open world mmo survival game they have been looking for ;)
