Prolly if people stop killing sprucecaps things can change.
Just in our region more than 30 have been killed in one month and some of them have quitted. One pro player quitted 2 after beeing ambushed with lies, just imagine new players.
And btw, you seem to be saying that everyone is into pvp and pve or they even undersdtand how combat works.
Something as basic as that isnt well explained to begin with, is a fucking mess. So if you want to say that combat changes have made loose 150 or 100 players you better give the same oportunities to everybody.
This game have different phases as a sandbox:
-Settling
-Terraforming
-Building
-Grinding qualities
-Pve
-Pvp
-Foraging
-Mining
-Crafting

At least 2 of them are affected by botting.
2 of them depends on understanding something that is a mess and bad explained.
If you want this game to succes among as many people is able to sacrifice their time for what it takes you better do things right and understandable for everybody.
No one wants to study and apply empirism to understand something complex at the risk of loosing their main char.
Discovering things is ok, but when you must do it in a obvioulsy umbalanced enviroment where veterans abuse of newbies, who will loose all their progress for the sake of the enjoyment of the same people over and over things gets bad.
I can take the game as a chore because i Know it and I'm who I am, but not every body will and less if they know some will bot the grinding part and abuse a system like combat they dont even know because devs have ignored it.
No, people havent stoped playing because last patch.

I for one stopped login in due to combat change. pisses me off so went to payday 2, way better combat there.

tbh this patch was really bad i hope the next patch is them getting rid of (mostly) everything they did in this 1 hehehe

Yep. I've logged on like 3-4 times since patch to eat/grab salt and feed cows, no motivation to look for fights or raid

Combat changes were shit and I'd like a revert as well.

And I think that we can freely bitch about it now because I know that many people have already sent long-winded reports to Jorb about it.
