As much as I want it to be Dunk and Egg, the 4 spinoffs are all during different chronological periods, so there's only a 25% chance of Dunk and Egg.
A test audience will probably decide who gets HBO's massive moneybags they'd undoubtedly dump into something new.

Sadly, as amazing as Dunk and Egg is, it doesn't lend itself to episodic format half as well as the book series.
The length, pacing, and content of the stories is really tight - You are following a *single* character's POV.

That said, Ser Duncan is probably the best POV character that G RR Martin has ever written. I'd really, really, like to see it adapted somehow.

A side to the topic: want the full version of The Bear and The Maiden Fair, please. A bit on topic, this is supposed to be an "inspired" story, so maybe it'll be the spinoff?

Sucks this season is going to be so short. Source material has ran out, though.

Sucks even more because it'll leave a huge gap until the next great show, Mr. Robot, airs its next season (delayed until fall due to shooting schedules).

A spinoff could fail bigtime. People really just want more GoT episodes.. HBO burned through 1000's of pages of textual storyline yet only delivered some 60ish episodes. If we discount beggining credit scroll and the credit rollups at the end of each episode the actual content of each show runs about 48-52 minutes. A lot of valuable source material was wasted.

Older TV show production companies-with half the budget and of the same quality- used to deliver 20 episodes per season. Most of those shows were about 45 minutes long. Lost was a very good show, 20 episodes per season, and it was free to watch OTA. X-Files. Trek ran $1m per episode and that figure isn't even adjusted for 1990's inflation.

Yeah, I digressed. My point being HBO and fans blame Martin for ...stuff .. and I say HBO's production company should've delivered at least 110 episodes instead of the sixtyish we have now.
