Haven and Hearth Spec Requirements

Postby Projeear » Tue Jun 13, 2017 11:05 am

Hi Guys,

My workplace is sending me about the country (starting tomorrow) to do some site supervising stuff, and I'm going to grab a laptop. 95% so that I can play Haven and Hearth during my overnight stays at the hotels.

I'm going to go buy it in <1 hour, so I'd appreciate a quick turn-around if anybody is available.

What specs am I looking for, to play HnH comfortably?

Cheers.

You're going to need a $3000 laptop to get over 15fps

Sorry bro

My partner has found out a laptop she's going to give to me, for free. It's an i5, and it's currently reinstalling. Fingers crossed it has 8gb RAM.

Intel Core i5-2450M CPU @ 2.50 GHz (4 CPUs).
6144MB RAM.

Meh... should do it, right? The 2.5 scares me.

I have a 300$ laptops and the lowest I get is like 20frames. In best conditions (inside empty house) I get like 60-80fps idr. It's really using custom clients and using the performance enhancer setting things to make you get better frames but the game looks worse.

I know it's getting a bit later than asked, but I think any 5th gen or newer Core processor (or AMD equivalent) doesn't have any issues, and paired with a GPU from the last 4 years, you should be golden. You may not get 60 fps with an older system, but I've heard complaints about low frame rates on 1-2 year old high end GPUs. As far as I can tell, Haven runs in under 1GB of RAM. (Again, mileage with clients will vary.)

If you have an Nvidia GPU in the laptop, I'd suggest making sure that the integrated Intel GPU is completely disabled. Nvidia seems to have a thing for passing of OpenGL rendering to the integrated GPU.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.
