Nintendo Switch

I pre-ordered it back in early May and it still hasn't arrived, ships on the 30th, takes 5-8 days to get here, etc.

To anyone who has bought and used it, how is it? Is there anything about it i should know? I've been extremely hyped for it so i can play Zelda and Metroid Prime 4 when it releases.

I've also bought the Pro Controller already and let me tell you, it's one of the most comfortable controllers i've ever held.
Total misplay.

Everything I've read/watched has said that the standard controller is pretty shit to use for extended periods because of the joystick placement on the one side. From what I understand it is almost required to also buy the controller through Nintendo if you want to get the most enjoyment out of it.

Once you play Nintendo Switch you switch to another console.

For the single player/open world/adventure genre for sure ..... I personally never seen nothing better than that.
About the Switch i heard the best thing is the portability .... playing on its own small screen with its own controller people says it's awesome. On TV, etc it's not that awesome cause of course the resolution and so on it's not that great, but still ....
I mean, playing Zelda in car/train or at the toilet or bed should be awesome :D
P.S. About Zelda don't spoil you anything, play it on your own, at least the first time.

Well, it came early and after two days of nonstop playing it i can safely say this:

...is totally untrue. I love this thing so much! so far Handheld mode is my favorite.

All i've played is the Zelda and every demo on the eShop, but it's a really neat little thing and i love it. :D

Also i actually like the included grip (Not as much as the Pro though.) although that's probably because it was made for people with smaller hands like me.

I won't dissagree that the game system itself isn't all that good, but the games on it are pretty great. The new Legend of Zelda is one of the best games I've ever played.

The Switch has 3 great strengths:

1) Exclusives. It's an Nintendo console, so it's going to have Nintendo exclusives. Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Fire Emblem, Pokemon, Splatoon, etc.

2) Portability. In terms of shape, it's like a giant Gameboy Advance. Whether you don't want to get out of bed, going on a long trip or flight, have to do some waiting, you can crack that thing out and play Breath of the Wild or Skyrim or whatever you'd like.

3) Co-op. It's two controllers, while are like awkward NES controllers, allow for convenient multiplayer away from home. Just like they promote in their ads, I've had lunch with a couple of friends, pulled out my Switch, and we played Puyo-Puyo Tetris for a good half-hour (it's demo has multiplayer, which is nice). It's a good ice-breaker and "couch co-op" is something you don't see as often anymore. Look out for it's multiplayer games such as Puyo-Puyo Tetris, Snipper Clippers, Overcooked, Stardew Valley, Mario Kart 8, ARMS, etc.
