No one gains valhalla by sleeping comfortably and live a dull life, so i picked up a few tools, my boat and a crate, and very early in the morning, when everyone was still sleeping, i started rowing over the river. My boat got me over some lakes, then from the grassland to the forest, and when i started to see spruces and the mountains, i decided what i wanted to do: become a hunter in the wild, with a modest, yet rich life, tanning leather, preparing pelts, all by myself.
I started by gathering few vegetables around while searching for a suitable place, between the lichens and berry bushes, until i reached a small lake, full of fishes, and over the shores, a rocky cliff: the perfect place to stay for a few days while gathering a good food stash. Berries, nuts and some fruits were the base of my diet in those days, and i kept using grubs and other insects as fishing baits.

A small cave near the shore made the perfect place in wich to stay, a dry and warm place, especially after i lighted a small fire inside and built some makeshift furniture: a comfortable chair and table to work and eat, and a larder for my food, as i don't want to find myself without anything to eat in the winter, thou is just the end of spring.
When i got enough food for a couple days, i started to check for a good hunting ground, and tried to get also some furs from small animals, as the mountains are cold even now in the spring. After another week or so, making small traps for squirrels, rabbits and other small animals, my larder was nice and full, and a couple pelts were already drying over the two racks i built outside. Just two weeks, and i alredy forgot all the bad things everyone kept saying: only the work matters, and weird, everything gone smoothly, except one thing: that place was perfect, but not for hunting, so i started thinking to move again, and while gathering and small hunting, i kept my eyes peeled for a better place, but anyway, i was happy.
Only the satisfaction of the sweet scent from my larder was enough to keeping me going
