Infected sore rush

When you're in the very early game but you get an infected sore so you spend the learning points you were saving up to make a decent bow and decent arrows and hunt the ever living hell out of every pig within a 14 mile radius

Don't actively search after the meat man it's a waste.

If you keep the meat for your own progress but meanwhile work towards getting 2 pieces of wax (from beehive or 10 candleberries) and then make 1 hardened leather for 1 wrecking ball.

Currently there are loads of abandoned settlements and if one near you contains loads of dead domesticated animals then it's a way easier source of meat for you.

When the claims are inactive, this does not require any criminal acts. Test this easily by attempting to dig the ground of the claim, both village and private claim will have vandalism turned off for unknown people. Meaning if it works, you know you can put wrecking ball, come back next day and harvest your loot :)

It doesn't break through use so if it doesn't get stolen you can continue useing it :)

Alternatively you could now smoke opium but not sure how good that is yet since I haven't had those wounds.

Could also put alternative account at an ancient windthrow for least amount of effort medicine but it's up to you :)

Get swimming and use it to get accross a lake, cures infected sores like a charm.

And just leaves the character dead or with severe asphyxiation damage....

When you create new character you won't have infected sore, so it works  .

Meh... I've got about 30-40 points in random wounds that aren't healable by a new character other than with roots. Thought all the snakes bites* were going to do me in, but so far I've dealt with the wounds by just jacking up my CON. The infected sores are annoying, but they come and go. Guess I've been lucky and not hit one of those 40-50 point ones I've heard about.

On the other side of that coin, I've not been playing with that character much because it's an alt I wanted to use to get a feel for all the new stuff from a staring view, and if my understanding is right, being offline helps either decrease or at least prevents infected sores from getting worse.

*Should be something special granted with enough snake bites... Not sure what that is, maybe a special vision or something silly...

I'm not even sure it's accurate, and probably shame on me for repeating things that likely aren't true, but it's the only thing I've seen that suggests keeping them under control until you can properly heal them. The ones I have gotten seem to change very little when I'm logged in, though, even for a few hours, so I don't know.

I didn't want to make new thread so I'm going to complain here. I had around 160 points of Blunt Trauma left from Initial leeching yesterday, thought I'd just Leech it all the way through. however when I logged in today, the entire wound had turned into a INFECTED SORE! I spent almost half a kilo of opium and two q270 bars of soap and I still have 131 left. In hindsight I should've just slapped Gauze on it but since I never left my base, let alone visited a swamp, it seems disproportionate that it suddenly turned into a wound that's much harder to treat. I didn't even know that Blunt Trauma can become infected.
