Unused accounts

Hi, I want to know is it possible to delete accounts in the game? I have a few unused accounts to the game, which I recorded a long time ago on the same email, and do not use them. I would like to delete, is this possible?

In theory, you'd get rid of old accounts for personal security. That would only be useful if you're deleting all accounts on a site. Odds are, your email is going to be compromised first, or your personal security is going to be compromised because of a hack on a major site like Google or Facebook. (Equifax comes to mind.)

I'm unsure if accounts can actually be deleted by anyone with an administration role. My suggestion is to PM jorb with a list of accounts you want closed.

We don't currently support account deletion. Part of the reason for this is that, barring a world reset at least, there might still be game data (plots, village memberships, &c) pointing to things on the account, and thus the account is still necessary. I don't think it would be a good idea for the game to delete in-game stuff willy-nilly (help build your "friends"' palisade, remove account, presto raid it, and other great use-cases).

Technically I could remove the "name" of a user account, making the same name available for re-registration, but I don't really see there being any good reason to do that.
