Worth getting back into?

Hey guys, I played H&H from W2 to W6/early 7 (i think!) before I took off to live a life free of the worry of logging on 6 times a day. I wanted to play casually and was wondering well, with 71 hearthlings on right now, is it worth hopping back into the game? I like the new graphics style but what else has changed? Seems like hnh has failed to survive the test of time

It's a completely new game.

I'd say now more than ever is the best time to hop into the world. Lots of abandoned settlements to scavenge, a pretty active in-game community, both the larpers and pvpers. The current version of Haven caters well to the casual noob nowadays. Try joining a village if you're just looking to learn the ropes and fuck around a bit.

Always been more keen on making a hermit character and actually using it than keeping my giant cocked warrior within the nice walls of my 50+ person village... but who knows if that's still the case. Not too worried about other people's characters. But if the end of the world is close (although people always say it is..) i'd rather stay away for a while

The world isn't going to end for like at LEAST another 6 months, people are just retarded for the most part and keep chirping about it hoping that if they say it enough that they might wish it into being.

The forums exploded back in ...2015? Ish? And nearly all the posts were corrupted.

Damn that's a shame. Had a couple posts I was proud of, spent a solid while active on there. Anyways thanks a ton for your help. I'll probably spawn up a newbie and see what I can't do, these updates look cool though if Jorbtar are back 100% developing H&H I'm somewhat disappointed with the rate of release recently looking at the changelog. This game probably needs better marketing and more active developers if it is to be a major source of revenue. But by not being active i guess im part of the problem.

It's mostly because the clients are all broken from the last update. It usually hovers around 150-200 these days.

The game is good and totally worth returning now if you want to get the hang of things and build some stuff, but if you want to compete in combat or quality grind I'd pass on any serious grinding until the new world because yeah, you can literally never catch up

Yep. It's only 71 hearthlings because the custom clients do not currently work due to the new update.
