Hardware Wallet Recommending

Hello to you all again my fine friends,

I come and ask for some advise for the very clever fellow friends of forum. Currently I will only store some valuable good with some secret key that I keep stored in steel traps of my brain. But I am worry that maybe my brain trap might lose its grip, especially if I am not using this good for some time to refresh this memory. I have consider to write down this key into text file on computer, but I think this is a danger if system became compromise. Though in some case, I will still do it for less valuable good that I will share with my friend. Some time we will pool our good to use these good for greater good of us all. But for the very valuable that I keep to my own self, I will not commit these key to computer memory.

I have consider to write down these key in the physical realm on some papers. I think this is so-call ''papers wallet.'' Idea is then to keep these in secure physical location. But I think maybe this is no good either. I rent apartment, so landlord have access to it. Sure, he can not enter for no reason according to lease contracts, but if he sniffs a whiff of valuable good? Maybe this one will turn him to criminal. I can also buy some safe. But in event of fire, I think maybe safe is not so safe! Plus there is issue of the men to come and abscond with safe totally, then open this one on remote sites.

So then I have come to what I hear is this ultimate solution. So-call ''hardware wallets.'' From my understanding this is device that will store my secret key in secret section of secret system, secretly. Then it will secure this secret section with other secret keys. Device is isolate from internet systems, so it is only available for use if the man has physical access to device. But even if some foul actor come to take it from me, it is useless to him without secret keys, which I again can store in brain. This one can be much more easy to remember though, because it can be more short and more easy for my brain to hold on to.

Here is now crux of issue my Haven and Hearth forum friends! Is my understand of these wallet correct? Does any of you use these hardware wallet for store your good? How was this experience for you? Do you find it functional and secure? Is there issue of foul actor come to your home, steal this hardware, and beat you with crowbar until you divulge secret keys? Can some of the men recommend some of these very nice wallet to me for my usage?

I have 0 interest in the digital speculative market of crypto. In fact, I have 0 interest in digital currency. I keep all my money in savings and take out a few hundred here and there. If I need to do online shopping I'll buy a prepaid card.

Certainly the best security is not allowing people to know you have these secrets in the first place. Certainly someone here will want your secrets now.

Put them in a bank.
Does not matter if the bank goes bankrupt. At least in europe deposts are guaranteed til 100 000€, so you will get your money back if the bank disappears for whatever reason. If you have more money than that, you can spread them to multiple different banks. Even though in that case you should probably (safely) invest them to fight the inflation, not deposit them on banks.
Of course in case of larger scale collapses of economy you wont get them back, but in that case, it does not really matter.

Yes, this is very volatile markets! Not for faint of heart for certain.

In this case I think easier implement of system is to just upload some files to ordinary server with file size equal to encode value. Or to encode this data in some ordinary image file using some steganography techniques. Or any other number of hiding data as other data while makes it appear more normal. But these scheme I think is rely on just security through obscurity, which is maybe not best as primary systems of secret keeping.

Going around internet forums writing that you have secret codes with account that can be connected to you is probably not a good idea then.
