In Finland, today is 112 day. (11.2.)
112 is the emergency number that you call in case if bad stuff happens in Finland, I guess it is also used in some other european countries.
The day is used to educate the public on when and how you should call to emergency number. But also in general how to act in exceptional and dangerous situations such as traffic accidents.
It is also
laskiaissunnuntai. Traditionally, children go sledding and Laskiaispulla is eaten. Which is a bun sliced in two, and then you put whipped cream and jam between it. (Some people prefer almonds, people have strong opinions on whether you use almonds or jam!)

I guess laskiainen is originally related to the easter getting near (fasting) or some other religious stuff, but almost no one cares about that anymore.
