I think you guys lack basic math skills. Assuming each hat costs $10, he'd need to sell 8 hats a weekday to equal an average workday for a job paying $10 an hour. But then the profit is split (I assume) 50/50 with loftar. So that raises it up to 16 hats a weekday. And an average year has 260 work days. So that means it takes 4160 hat sales to equal an equivalent $10/hr job. I don't think jorb and loftar are buying yachts anytime soon.

If you include token and sub sales, I'm sure the number becomes more significant. But Haven doesn't have a huge player base, and I'm willing to bet a majority of the players haven't put too much funds into the game. I think the take away is that Hafen is probably more than financially self-suffecient itself (server costs, etc), but probably not so much to be a sole income source for the Seatribe duo.

It seem to me that development lately have been more consistent than ever, with some regular patchings even while large project is in progress, full year's plan published, and commitment to monthly stream. At very least I think it is safe to say game is doing well enough to not need worrying now.

You're forgetting that Sweden not only has a higher cost of living than the US, $10 a day might seem pretty decent but then when you factor in the taxes, the final number is significantly smaller.
