Postby Ysh » Wed Feb 14, 2018 1:05 am

Hello my friendly forum friends,

I have return from my job labors today and go to fix myself some fine United States American supper. I think since there is many friends on this forum from many different country and culture, you will all eat some very exotic outland foods to me! Also we are all play some food cooking simulator game call this Haven and Hearth, so food must be a top interest topic to us here.

So here it is, the feast I will sup once I have submit this posting:

Very looks good for certain! These are some leftover foods that I have cook yesterday. It is chicken breast, chopped spinach, and long grain white rice. This is very delicious meal that is good for the body and easy on wallets. In United States America, such a powerful foods combination is frequently call ''triple threat'' meal. As every one does knowing, United States American men like me is very lazy creature and love some fancy technologies. So, in according to this United States American culture practice, I have cook this meal in traditional manner: sous vide cooker for cook chicken, steam cooker for cook spinach, and rice cooker for cook rice.

What you have eat for supper? Posting it here, if it pleasures you. Thanks again for your consideration.

Please expand on your formulation of bread. Is it true rye bread, or is it """rye bread""" baked from the kind of rye flour commonly sold commercially that is in fact a mix of rye and wheat flour, with rye being the smaller part?

Looks quite good, either way.

The bread that I eat looks similiar to the one in the Image, but is 100% rye flour. I think that the one in the Image is like 75% Rye and 25% wheat. (Of The flour used) There is variety of different kinds. Some have stuff such as lingonberries in them. Some are more hard to bite than the others.

Sometimes I also eat rye bread that has been made from 100% full grain r
ye which looks a bit different.

Flour refining has been one of the greatest catastrophes (about food and health) since 1870 with the industrialization process ... the well know "Western diseases" started from there, then in 1942 with the US enrichment act, USA by law imposed to add vitamins to the refined flour (but still bad compared to the hand made flour).
We still eat that shit nowadays pretty much in everything .... the thing is, no matter if rye or wheat, much more important how has been refined.
We are too many on this planet.

I've been meaning to try making some whole-rye bread, but haven't quite dared gluten-free baking yet. You wouldn't happen to have some real Finnish recipe to share?

Wouldn't know too much about it, but the flour I currently bake from says it is entirely free of additives.

It's not about the additives, it's about the nutrients (vitamins, etc) they removed while refing it ... just read on the package for the expiry date, if it last more than 1-2 weeks it's not "real" flour .... and pretty much 99% of the flour we can buy it's like that.
I mean it's not bad per se .... but for our body it's like eating sugar, plus some vitamins added artificially, while the "real" flour it's very healthy ...
