A dead man's request.

Before I get into the meat of this post, I'm just going to say that this whole thing is going to sound really silly to probably everyone.
I had a character that died last night, easily the character which I've spent the most time on.
To be fair, I'm not very good at this game, and I tend to focus on really silly things, like planting a nice looking forest, or just exploring old ruins of towns long abandoned, so I never really get very far into the tech tree. I think the only thing I can say I was decent at was producing a fair amount of silk.
I had recently moved away from my old town that I built with my buds, all who don't play anymore, and set up a small house on a lonely island near an impressive lake. I wanted to get back into the groove, and make a nice new coat to wear adorned with some Shipwreck Buttons.

I'm sure you can all see how this ends.

Long story short, I was far from home, spotted some flotsam, and my greed got the best of me. I should have just caught a squirrel, made a saw, and built a boat.

I know the chances of anyone finding me are low, and the chances of them reading this lower, but if you happen to find a drowned man clutching onto some flotsam, please bury me with some buttons.

if you actually like making silk, multiple villages will fight each other to recruit you. your lost character would be nothing compared how great your new one could become.
Newbie and noob do not mean the same thing.

Neither do figuratively and literally.

If you still remember the spot or any landmarks where you drowned, you can try finding it on here http://odditown.com/haven/map/#x=0&y=0&zoom=4

That way you could travel to your character and bury them. If not, you could give me the coordinates and I could find and bury your body for you. If you ask why I'd do that, I've also been a victim of drowning, though in my case I drowned after running away from ants. So I'd just want to help a fellow waterlogged hearthling.
I like apple juice.

I actually really enjoy making silk! The only issue is storage usually, that and always running out of mulberry leaves. I probably should join an active village and stop being a weird hermit with my next character, but I just found a really cool spot between two of those stone pillars to settle.

Nothing saying you can't manage silk production on one character and go derp around with a hermit character while you're waiting on timers. Just don't let them get you making so much you burn out on it.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.
