Who here is from BYOND?

I have literally been searching around for this game for so long, I played this years ago through someone on a website called BYOND, although it was so long ago i didn't remember they're name or even this game's name. I just want to put the pieces together lol

I haven't been on BYOND for a long time. I had some old friends who were playing on a One Piece game on BYOND and would ask me what I was up to whenever I occasionally logged on. I told them about this game and they laughed it off as some kind of farmville type of game

At first, I thought this game was like Travian. (Kind of like Clash of Clans but before smartphones.) Also the post that informed me of the existence of HnH made me think that character death is unavoidable in the long run which initially turned me away.

Clash of Clans (and all these other post Facebook/smartphone siege games) are so freaking lame compared to Travian. Nothing like sleepless nights to dodge sieges and defend in the end game. It's so intense and unnerving, I had to quit playing. Ulcers suck. Closest thing I've found that I can tolerate without going back into it is Stronghold Kingdoms, and that gets boring fast if you don't stay highly active.

As far as BYOND, I tried out SS13 a few times, but just can't get into it. Not sure if it's cause I'm a clueless noob on the game, or just can't find friends to play with. I've heard great stories, but I found that from here as we had several people that had played it back not long after it came out. (I found Haven from the Bay 12 forums.)

Travian was horrible.
Some strong players always threatened me, I had to send them resources/start my village over with their referral link and join their alliance, or else they would constantly raid my village.
Those were good times, still.

I played on /vg servers of ss13 a bit of /tg* in the downtimes. With ckey Suchai. I sometimes return to ss13.
