i started to play cause i was grounded and secrectly borrowed my freind who i took the wrap fors n64 and smash bros and sim city was amazing and it sometimes comes to mind even when playing completely different games, but i keep playing now days cause i try to never stop thinking and tv makes me brain dead but games keep me thinking



what brings me into a game for me it depends what type of game im looking for

mmo- i perfer to find these throu other mmos or thier fourms, when someone suggest a game and thay sound proud or talk about it in great detail i always know its at least decent

in every mmo i play im also drawn to creative pvp (if i can think outside the box or help in some way with out fighting i tend to consider those more) thats prob most important

single player- almost always sandbox (ill try any sandbox once) or creative thinking (i cant escape the commandos style of game on this front)



what always holds me in games is mostly a rivalry if i have someone to work agaisnt i tend to keep with it and try more, and is where that more creative open pvp really matters (fighting directly can be boring) but also creating something (base, guild, wars, legends)



the games i visit often are dynamic if i leave for a few months and come back its changed
or in single player sense to build something iv been thinking about in sandbox or some games just are relaxing (kingdomes and castles is the most relaxing build game ever)

lol prob chould went in far greater detail and alot left out but ehh the stream made me want to see why others go to games

The world not resetting for once is a huge motivator, because for people that are not in a big faction you're profitting more from that the world has already progressed in Q to a certain degree.
Although it's uncertain when or if a reset will still come afaik.

For fun ... esp on rainy days ...

what brings you into a game?

Word of mouth or having read about them and a spark of interest was formed.

what holds your attention to a game?

For me there has to be an element of base building ... unless it's a last man standing scenario .. then it's pure competitiveness.

why do you come back to a game?

Because it was fun ... ... when it comes to haven there is a real sense of achievement in progression, both with your char and with the building, crafting and the wide scope for design which I have never found remotely close in any other game, and, ofc after all this time there is an element of community which remains constant and is nice to feel part of away from the ups and downs of rl ... and I have some really good friends here.

One will come because of a couple of things being worked on. From my limited understanding, I just don't see a way to shoehorn them into the current architecture and existing world. I don't expect it in the next 6-12 months, though, given the scope of those changes, and current projects and timelines.

Not meaning to derail this, but just don't want anyone thinking this world is going to be the "last one."
