The cool thing about haven and hearth is that you can make your own Battle Royale

re: thread
I'm not sure we actually need in game mechanics to make this work. I feel like everything a person needs is already ingame.

Build an arena
fill it with weapons, armor, food, etc.
build X number of wilderness beacons
PM players the beacon's password
everyone spawns in, starts brawling.

(I supposed you need RAGE to fight someone though...)

Freshly spawned characters are somewhat limited when it comes to combat, also players could cheat by spawning an inherited character instead of a fresh one.

You are right to an extent but it will be a lot more effort to get a balanced arena going. You will be missing the combat moves.
The claim idea would make it so there is no big investment from the guy just trying to join a fun event for the weekend. Jorb asked what makes people come back to a game and I think this would be one of the things. Our freedom to create in Haven can create games within games.
I would also like to remind we got support from the devs before by changing shooball to shoeball. The game supporting such events is a huge boost to replayability.

Many games are chasing the Battle Royale bandwagon. Not sure if it's worth the dev time, trying to compete against the giants that are PUBG and Fortnite.

Currently, I'm not sure, but combat may be enabled for fresh spawns by claiming the arena and giving vandalism to white. Looting killed players would remain an another problem, as it requires Theft.
