There was some question raised about the end of the universe some time ago. Specifically on whether the Universe was expanding or contracting. From what I know the Big Crunch theory was debunked. This would seem to imply that the Universe will expand until even the black holes have evaporated away. The end of the Universe.
I have a theory that this is not the end at all. That there is an infinite vacuum of nothingness outside the Universe. That when any tiny piece of matter reaches a critical point of being torn at by that vacuum it will burst apart in a release of energy. That this will happen to a great deal of pieces of matter almost simultaneously across a vast area of space. And that the resulting explosion will form a new Universe.
Could we survive it?
