I'm more of a guitar guy, bass specifically. I tinkle around on an old, cheap Yamaha that's still sitting here that was my brothers. It's not even programmable, so... does it count?

(I'll note that it does have MIDI out... so it's not that old, but it's way older than USB tech. Could run it through a sound card for the programability, but not really worth it to me.)

i also have a guitar and a bass, i do tend to mess with the bass more but really i'm a synth guy. which model yamaha do you have? I used to have a cs1x that i miss a lot. still have yamaha rm1x sequencer/groovebox thing and an su700 sampler both from 20 years ago and a tx-81z rackmount fm synth that's even older that i picked up off craigslist a few years ago.
