9/10. Could have done with some scenes with some more characters, but it's still a hundred times better than the current trailer.

Look at your trailer. Now back to mine. Now back to your trailer. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But it could be, if you updated. Look down. Now back up. What's in your browser? It's the trailer that trailers wish they could be. Whats in your browser? Now back to me. It's a hoard of new players who were enticed instead of repulsed.

Nice work, You put most esiental aspects of game to trailer - and that is a thing Im loking when checking out a game. Maybe just after wisp You should have shown naked char. Also showing foraging would be nice. Soundtrack really fits.
9/10 would play.

cool trailer in its own right, but much too long. it could have ended well at 2:40, but you extended it another 30 sec to see the town, which is cool.

try making a ~60 second trailer (the current one is 1:03).

I really liked how you started with just the wisp transitioning to hearthling. try creating a 60 second trailer of ~6 second clips fading into each other of hearthlings running 'through the ages' starting at wisp, going through forager, farmer, fighter, villager, etc. which are all running in the same direction.

would be cool.

Yeah, length was always going to be a problem for me (giggity), but the problem is that I'm very set on that soundtrack, and it would either have to be too short or too long. Need the 3 verses, slow intro + middle + male vocal ending. Ideally I would have liked a good bit of PvP clips at the end there and not just be showing 100% construction stuff. If I ever redo the serious trailer I do want to strictly keep up with the running scene transition, I liked that but it was too much work to keep up for a single day's effort. Plenty of other tiny problems too.

I'm kinda liking the second one more now though, it makes me laugh.

Worth noting that the original trailer was only ever made because it was required to enter the Swedish Gaming Awards in 2009.

it's an amazing trailer but i think it's wise for devs to not hype the player experience... most players won't reach that experience, for many reasons like hardware, client, friends, knowledge, time available... the classic example of devs hype is No Man's Sky

I agree with this. I liked it well enough as a gameplay trailer, but I felt the individual shots were too long.

I agree with jorb, way too boring as a trailer! More fast cuts, dramatic music and explosions, aggressive zooming and stuff! And no fraps logo!
