I'm hoping the islands/continents means no universal crops/flora/fauna. if it takes a whole month before traders can reach a new continent, thats a serious time gap for the entrepreneurial hearthling to spiral a crop/animal up to a trade advantage.
i'm hoping they go through with the wildbee prereq for bee skeps along with rudimentary apiary mechanics (split a domestic bee skep to make a new royal jelly, but the jelly is 1/2 quality of the skep)
i'm hoping for crops to take 2x longer to grow, but also produce 2.5x more materials in order to slow down crop spiralling as well as minimize crop bot hell. i'd be receptive to 3x longer with 4x yield tbh.
i'm hoping for road rework so there's not signpost vomit in every direction.
having caves limited to the shape of an island/continent would be juicy. make cave level 5 map wide though, for extra fun.
----in a related note, i'm hoping the mine holes to each consecuitive level require steeper and steeper materials cost. Let's make the minehole to cave level 5 require metiron, fuck em.
i'm hoping for no charter stones across the ocean, however I do want there to be ports which act as charterstones, similiar to how docks allow you to TP back with your knarr.
---- i'm hoping for at least two new boat types. a naval combat boat, and a speedboat. (inb4 viking rowboat powered by slave alts)
-------i'm hoping there's a new third water tile, open water, that cant be crossed by small boats. like in civilization.
I super hope they make the early game Stone Spires carvable into giant immobile runestones. bonus points if they have randomly generated stories.
I hope there is some darkness debuff which prevents fullscale cave exploration without a proper light source. for example, exploring a cave in pitch black would cause the creepy crawlies to come out and eat you for gnarly shp damage (runescape has a mechanic like this)
I hope for a silkmoth workstation because picturing cupboards full of leafs and silkworms is just comical.
here's hoping for buildable, immobile, bins which act like a stockpile but hold 4x that item.
i could probably think of 50 more but i'll stop for now
