Plans for World 11; Help Wanted

I haven't decided how I want to play through W11 yet and I'd like to receive your input. In your collective experiences, do you have the most fun,
a) Living as a self-sustaining hermit with limited interactions with others
b) Playing with a small group of friends and forming a small village
c) Joining a large settlement with those who you don't know as well, but are dedicated to the game

I'm leaning toward option A, although I've never done a completely solo playthrough, so if anyone has gone that route, let me know how it panned out for you.

ok the best way is to do all 3 in that order, the most fun i had was when i was a big fukn noob exploring and learning the game and getting shit on by everyone. and eventually you join a village make some friends etc get better but youre still not too great. and then you wanna progress into being at the highest level which is usually involving big realms, fights, top industry etc. or idk in my experience i naturally progressed through all 3 and really enjoyed it. getting to be part of big factions is kinda hard though with the trust problems, and starting one as a nab is pretty impossible. so you kind of need someone in one to take you in

ok the best way is to do all 3 in that order

this way youll prob get the most fun out of the game, if you instantly jump in to 3 you wont have a good time since you're not familiar with the game and people will expect a lot from you.

This is my first world, but I think It's safe to say I've experienced all of these playstyles. I had a hermit alt and I had a main which joined a village when it was fairly small and over time it grew. I think each playstyle has it's own pros and cons, but I think given a choice, It'd be b.

a) for me personally.

Living in a big faction you'll have one job(as I speculate, I might be wrong completely) and you'll have to do it over and over and over and over. Some people might like it, I don't. I like doing everything. While living a hermit if I want to mine I go and mine. I want to hunt - I go and hunt. Etc. Pure enjoyment.

Living in a small village let's you do pretty much the same, BUT it really bugs me when things happen without me. For example, I wake up, I log in and BOOM, suddenly there is a minehole! Or a new house, or a huge new plantation of something. I quickly lose interest when this happens and eventually drop the game.

Hermit is the way for me. I love it. I know I can't compete with anyone, I know I'll get stomped but I don't mind. Those tradeoffs are nothing compared to the fun I'm having. And btw living as a hermit doesn't mean your interactions with others are so limited really.

w10 was an a) option from the start till I dropped. Started on day 1, I played for 3 or 4 months and I've been having so much fun that my other life suffered greatly. And in order to drop the game, I had to give everything I had away. xD

I say do what you havent done before. If youve been a hermit in past world try living in a village. i've done option b a lot of times so the other ones seem more appealing to me now.

Option C comes with a lot of issues usually, if you look at forums and feel like youre missing out on fun drama & stuff then go for option C otherwise I wouldnt bother.

It's possible to be a hermit but also living in close relationship to a bigger village or kingdom, that is not a bad option either. It can help fill in the gaps of hermit lifestyle where you dont have proper industry. Though being a hermit is probably quite a bit of work.

Option B clearly depends if you have a group of friends. If you do then it just makes sense to do it.

definitely A) for me. I can do most of everything the game has to offer, and i accept being an easier target for raiders due to being alone.

I've played with a friend and it was awesome, though. Option B) is preferable if you have friend(s) that are dedicated enough to stay with you for more than a week.

1. Option A - ull learn the rules of the game, crafting and qualities etc. ull mean nothing to the world, unless lucky with resources u find.
2. Option B - u & ur friend will be as above, still theres that margin that u can be richer than anyone, but just for a small time period.
3. Option C - dedicate the way u enjoy the game and rely on others... do good job at your prof, as others will do at theirs. Chase and kill the traitors/thievies, go for wars and loose or win, enjoy the world.
