have you drank salt water irl? It just increases your thirst more and dehydrates you from the salt. You can die.

jorb has stated in this thread: http://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=63043 that you will be able to drink it in the future but it will cause harm in some way

I see and thank you for the link. Maybe boiling via cauldron would stop harm?

Realistically it would only make it worse, because water would boild and salt would stay eventually making it's concentration higher.

if u boiled water some of it would evaporate and you would just end up with an even higher condensation of salt :roll:
... unless you would collect that evaporated water somehow...

Yes this is what i was thinking. I read up on this from the following;

"Desalination/distillation is one of mankind's earliest forms of water treatment, and it is still a popular treatment solution throughout the world today. In ancient times, many civilizations used this process on their ships to convert sea water into drinking water. Today, desalination plants are used to convert sea water to drinking water on ships and in many arid regions of the world, and to treat water in other areas that is fouled by natural and unnatural contaminants. Distillation is perhaps the one water treatment technology that most completely reduces the widest range of drinking water contaminants." https://water.usgs.gov/edu/drinkseawater.html

Maybe this could be implemented to save from hurt?
