If they were to add you via HS, you both would be added as kin, not just memorized.

You can memorize anyone via the flower menu. You can memorize a claim owner by right clicking the claim totem. This is probably what they were referring to. You won't know each others' names unless you kin each other, though.

Unless they're brute forcing HSs, there's no way for them to know it unless you gave it to them.

You can memorize a claim owner by right clicking the claim totem.

Or by clicking the claimed area while holding a modifier (which exact key should be in the client manual - that, for reasons unknown, dosn't exist).

you're right, granger. Maybe I'm thinking the HF needs to right click, and you can just ctrl + click claimed ground.
