They're icons for attributes, (Survival, Constitution, Strength and Perception respectively, for the ones you mentioned.) plus a couple others. Just for looks, as Ysh said.

If you see gif with two hats on the right, it is a symbol of a good post, by the king of forum posting himself.
Fire on thread is a hidden symbol which means that the thread is being burned and will soon be deleted, because devs dislike the content of it.
