Logged back and things seems exactly the same as when I stopped playing Salem three years. What happened to it?

Ded game ... Last dev post was "Mon Feb 12, 2018". Played Salem while under Paradox quit pretty soon after Paradox left the deal. I enjoyed the game, honestly I still think that that Salem combat was better than HnH ... I'm curious what jorb and loftar think of seeing their other creation crumble apart and die...

Well, they make our life in HnH more miserable each patch, probably hoping that will keep Salem alive. (Just a wild guess, as I have no inside info.)

I believe they are waiting for the return of JC...
And since he's gone, there were no development IIRC. There are still some of the same players I used to see on forums like many many years ago.

Also, I did like combat system better there as well. More skill-timing based, rather than pure stat comparison.

Salem is fine and stable. You won't get your regular dose of dopamine from weekly updates. You will probably miss great nice things from HnH (piles, smooth movement, etc.). But Salem is still great and has a ton of fun. Until overdeveloped autist destroys your base and keels you.

I do not miss chief at all. But he's certainly etched into my memory. Also being called a psychopathic demon. Fun times.
