World 11 underworld

Postby Hrenli » Tue Mar 12, 2019 1:32 pm

So, some big boyz are quite far down there already, the forums are still full of questions and the wiki is out of date. It is time we try to consolidate some information about the underneath!

We know there are more than 5 levels (I've seen a quest requiring to go to 9th level at least). We know the deeper you go the more expensive mine hole is. We know there are new ores. Some observant person (not me) noticed that each two cave levels are more or less the same both biome-wise and ore-wise. Is it too far fetched to extrapolate that we might have the old 5 levels just split each in two and this world underbelly is 10 levels deep with bloodstone etc starting at 3, black ore etc at 5 and new ores somewhere dunno where (level 7 comes to mind logically)?

Feel free to comment. :) Especially those who saw really deep levels - can you share something without breaking too much of your faction secrets?

Huh neat. Zincspar got added but is just a rock not an ore. Peacock is like chalco I'm assuming?

No clue, have not seen it myself, only accounts of its existence. Looks very rainbowish in construction. Might be not even a proper ore and just a rock too for all I know. It's the "ore" part of the name that confused me. :)

  • At least 1 more bush: Ghostpipe. Similar as Poppycaps, produces curiosities when chopping. As I remember values for curio same as for Poppycaps;
  • At least 1 more tree: Gnome's Cap; Produces logs (probably 1) when chopped, so you can make boards and blocks from it.

It's ore, because when I stockpiled that it used ore texture

I think peacock was a tin source in my region, but it was only super tiny spots; long dug out.

wonder if its considered the bornite peacock ore as multi ore actually fall under that discrip (peacock ore(or seems bornite is mostly what is considered peacock ore but any rock that has a rainbowy look will prob be labeled peacock ore so its bornite im 100% sure)

technical it is usually mostly a silver(small amount) gold(small amount) copper(large amount) combo but can contain iron and has a lot of mercury in it based off min discrip

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bornite

https://www.minerals.net/mineral/bornite.aspx

http://www.bedrockdreams.com/2010/11/mo ... d.html?m=1

http://nevada-outback-gems.com/mineral_ ... l_info.htm

if is bornite a bornite cube as rare curio plz lol it must not have a lot of silver and gold as its only mentioned in two of these discrips

Commonly in massive forms - crystals are rare. Usually in rough cubes, sometimes in penetration twins. Dodecahedron and octahedron forms at times. Crystals often form interpenetration twins. Chemically, the mineral possesses no characteristics other than those to be expected from a compound of iron, copper and sulphur. It dissolves in nitric acid with the separation of sulphur. It is easily recognized by its purplish brown color on fresh fractures and its purple tarnish. It is a good conductor of electricity.

I got carried away
