issue about fps.

Postby Irgat35 » Sat Apr 27, 2019 7:57 pm

Hello everyone I got a good pc. I can play witcher 3 , Dark souls 3, sekiro etc with ultra graphics. But I'm having some fps issues with HnH generally in any base. I can not understand how can I play this game with 30-40 fps. Also I closed many animations and terrain things. I really can not understand... Do you have any idea or suggestion? (also I'm using ardennes client and I'm getting better fps than amber.)

If you're playing on a laptop, make sure that java is setup to use your graphics card and not integrated. Otherwise, disabling some animations/smoke effects seem to go a long way. Animals in general kill FPS on any computer, as do things like thousand of crops with amber features like crop stages turned on. There is a rendering rewrite going on now for like 2+ years specifically to address FPS performance of the client.

I'd have to see the part of your village that's giving you an issue then, I wouldn't expect 30-40 without standing in like the middle of an army of animals with animations on.

The haven client is widely known to perform very poorly in certain scenarios, despite being ran on very capable hardware (lots of animals/animated objects/etc specially make it crap itself out).

The devs have been working on a solution to the problem for quite a while now (known as the "client rewrite", if you've seen the announcements they always mention that it's a WIP at the end).
Other than doing stuff like disabling animations and whatnot to alleviate the problem there's not much that can be done until that rewrite is complete.

Here's a link to some more info about the upcoming client rewrite: viewtopic.php?f=49&t=57359

That does seem like really low performance for what's rendered in that picture, check java version and classpath? Upgrade to 64 bit java maybe?
