My cows aren't eating?

Postby Neonity » Fri Jun 28, 2019 4:32 pm

So i have two cattle, a cow and a bull, contained in a small fenced off area with access to a trough. But whenever I check the trough contents or either of the cattle's satiety levels, it becomes apparent that they are not eating from it. The trough food levels never change and their satiety levels appear to be stagnant if not going slightly down over time. Does anyone know of a solution?

Animals decide themselfs when those wanna eat. You can't force them. The only thing You can do is put as close as possible food throught and leave'em be.

I noticed my cow's through is always full, buy my pig's through is always empty. So I suspect both my cows and pigs are eating from the pig's one.

This has been the case for quite a while. It's something to do with the way troughs are represented in code and how they're searched. I don't figure it'll change.

As far as the OP's question, azrid probably is the best answer. Sometimes they just refuse to eat from the trough for a few days. Make sure they're on grassland (forest... whatever as long at isn't dirt of pavement) so they don't starve themselves to death.
