You can jump from cliffs into water, without the swimming skill.

Tidepools on beaches seem to be new, found a q21 Plaice in one, mostly it was empty, I checked about 9.

Sycamore trees also exist, and ... some sort of aquatic plant whose name I forget. They have lilypad leaves that take time to pick, and take up 2*2 inventory spaces. The leaves can then be shredded to make four things that count as leaves for the purpose of cooking. The plants also have seeds, so, potential future aquaculture? Or they might be a spice.
