Friendly reminder--quests

Don't mark the quest givers in any way. It's a dead giveaway there's a spirit there and some asshat is going to cut down your tree if they spot it. Seen a couple of felled trees on fresh claims, and I'm assuming those were tree spirits.

If I see runestone telling tree is giver, I will move it to other tree. Usually when I come by some day later, this other tree will be slain.

Last world there were multiple marked quest givers near me that nobody killed (despite one being right next to a river.) However I still recommend definitely to not mark quest givers. Only real reason for marking I can think of is the concern that somebody gathering lumber will chop it down just by sheer chance but I would assume 99% time ti has the opposite effect, attracting more griefer-minded passer-by to chop the tree down.

I'm assuming as much as this, or in the cases of the ones I saw (on a claim still drying), someone figured "if I can't share it, then nobody is going to get it."

At least with the runestone, yeah, you can move it around, and if everyone moves the runestone randomly, odds of it actually being next to the "real tree" is slim. If you claim a nature spirit (tree or rock), you KNOW it's that one, especially if it's a tree or rock that can't be moved.

Yeah, don't mark quest givers, I've had a few chains of quests fail because some one decided to multi-layer mark the quest giver, and it's impossible to hide the ground around the tree being tiled without significant resources available...

How much LP do you have? You need to earn a certain amount before it'll pop.
