(Feel free to post anything you think is in risk of being lost in the mists of time. Link-rot has already claimed countless photobucket and puush screenshots.)
http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/News_Archive already has some first-hand sources from Loftar.
I don't have link but there was an article where Jorb and Loftar were interviewed, and they told how their inexperience caused some outright silly exploits.
First one they figured out before anyone even registered (they didn't advertise the game in any way until participating in Swedish Game Awards as already recorded in the wiki.) They thought it would be a good idea to reward player every time they made impact on the game world which is a neat concept. Unfortunately they somehow thought this included claiming land and so made player gain LP when claiming land. This was more than the claim cost so if I had a time machine and could travel to August 2008, I could confuse the hell out of Jorb and Loftar by creating character, building a Claim Stake and claiming the entire w1.
More understandable oversight was that many things were indestructible. This meant you could make unbreakable wall out of drying frames (that only cost branches before hafen.) What are you saying? What about the gate? Well Cart was not only also indestructible but could only be pulled from the side with the handlebars, so it could be used to plug hole in the drying frame wall and could only be pulled off from the inside.
Another thing that is still on the forums but I can't find it now, was some announcement thread about the hafen/3D remake where Loftar mentioned how the game was originally meant to be called just "Haven" but then it turned out there was already some RPG called "Haven" (curiously, according to Google, it's coming out now, in 2020!) so they added "& Hearth" to it. Loftar said that they were ultimately happy with the change.
