Build your own. it doesn't have to be big. A small version can toss a kilo (couple pounds) or so with about $20-40 invested (USD because it's what I know). The basic plans are ridiculously simple. Getting it to fire every time takes some work on getting the sling set up just right, and I even found a pattern online for a cloth one that held up better than the wood I used did. (I used basic, low cost building studs and deck screws to put it together, drilled a hole for a dowel to support the throwing arm.)

I always wanted to build a big one like that, but never had anywhere to build and launch it.
