Is there something off with the RNG in this game?

This is an actual question, not a claim. I'm curious how others have found their experiences with rng mechanics so far (like, actual % chance mechanics) and how they trigger/how often.

Often, while out foraging or when butchering, I find that whenever I tend to trigger my double-forage credo or my strider credo, i almost always tend to trigger it multiple times in a short timeframe. I rarely, if ever, only trigger it once when performing many actions at the same time (i.e auto-picking mussels). I'm specifically talking about attempting to do things that trigger one of these rng mechanics in a short timeframe.

Likewise, when butchering, I'll find that if/when i trigger the extra hide, i tend to trigger it 2-3x in succession. This happens more regularly than when i only trigger it once and only gain one extra hide- the usual result being getting either the normal amount of hides, or +2/3 extra hides. I wouldn't normally expect this from the mechanics, but I could just be an edge case.

Wondering if anyone else has had similar results with triggering these credo mechanics as well.

Same.

Might be related to some other underlying game process.

This question starts with light drinks and marshmallows around the campfire.

It ends with nobody left alive to use the shovel.

That is precisely why i'm hoping others can share experiences; I have no idea if i'm just a weird edge case (and, given my luck with credos i can totally see that) or if there's something odd going on.

I believe Blizzard has the system in place that manipulates RNG in certain ways so players don't have streaks of good or bad outcomes in World of Warcraft. It may be less "random" but players may perceive it as more or less fair. I also heard of a theory that we tend to remember bad outcomes and forget about good ones, so by avoiding bad luck streak they alleviate possible frustration from interacting with rng systems.

Look up on this https://mathworld.wolfram.com/SquarePointPicking.html.
Points generated uniformly tend to clump together. There is algorithm called poisson disc sampling that makes sure points are distributed nicely. This could be implemented by making probability changing dynamically dependent on history of success, like critical strikes in League of legends.

i just wanted to say i also noticed this with strider the last 2 worlds. i didn't get strider this world but i think i did get like 5 hidees from a fox once for example... then u go 4-5animals with no extra hides.... it doesn't seem random

also.. this world we did like 16 or 17 bulls in a row or something until the first female? if that was 50% chance then i think that would would disprove the games ability to have true randomness right there.
