boats in frozen water

I cant find any info on this anywhere but what are the implications of a snekja/knarr in frozen water without a dock?
does it get destroyed or damaged?

I dont want to build a boat with winter coming if its just going to get destroyed

It will stuck, thats it. You can even mine out some pathway in ice and sail in ocean w/o any problems.

another issue we've had was we started building a knarr before winter came and the underlaying water froze and as the water melted so did our knarr foundation , dont see why it happened. we didnt build it over ice :sigh:
